Our Motto

Reaching leaders who can change the world.

Our Vision

Leaders passionately following Jesus for the well-being of the world.

Our Mission

Making Jesus known to every leader serving in government.

About Us

Christian Embassy – a community of people living authentic lives of faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that faith impacts all areas of life – including personal, professional, and social.

We serve Washington leaders, their spouses and staff in the administration, on Capitol Hill, in the Pentagon, and in foreign embassies and stand with them in pressures of their public and private lives with confidentiality and without an agenda.

We connect leaders with resources and networks that may not normally be available. Our seminars, small group discussions, retreats, and other larger events offer opportunities to focus on how God is relevant, personal, and interested in our daily lives. People from all faiths and backgrounds are welcome.

We are a team with one purpose: to encourage leaders to investigate the teachings and principles of Jesus Christ.  We do this by building relationships of trust, teaching God’s word, praying, and serving for the greater good of our leaders.

Bill and Vonette Bright, the late founders of Campus Crusade for Christ, now known as Cru, founded Christian Embassy in 1975. Since that time we have offered leaders opportunities to explore and discuss the Bible. We have supported them in difficult struggles and times of joy, and have been a listening ear.

Sensitivity and confidentiality are essential values to us. We meet with leaders, spouses, and staff who serve in all branches of government and the diplomatic community. We invite you to connect with our team.

Our History

Since 1975, Christian Embassy has served as a spiritual resource starting with Congress and extending to U.S. government and military leaders as well as foreign diplomats.

This nonpolitical, nondenominational ministry began as result of the expressed interest of officials in Washington, D.C., businessmen across the country concerned for the spiritual health of leaders in Washington.

They invited Dr. Bill Bright, founder and president of Campus Crusade for Christ to come to Washington to meet the personal and spiritual needs of our leadersTheir vision was to reach decisionmakers in our nation’s capital with the message of Jesus Christ.

These leaders, to whom God has given position of strategic influence, change the world. From the very beginning, God greatly blessed the work of Christian Embassy. An evidence of God’s faithfulness and power has been the many Washington leaders who have entered into apersonal relationship with Jesus Christ.

In addition, hundreds have learned how to live the Spiritempowered life, been equipped to share their faith and prepared to better deal with the pressures of leadership through the Biblical principle of multiplying discipleship.

Members of both Houses of Congress, presidential appointees, senior military officers and international diplomats, along with their spouses and staff, have participated in the many and varied programs of Christian Embassy.

Galatians 2:20

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

The Need

No city represents more political, military and economic power than Washington, DC. Crucial decisions that affect us personally and change the course of world history are made daily by these officials.

Along with power, position, prestige, and privilege; come personal and professional problems that evade traditional solutions. Trapped in a selfproclaimed “pressure cooker,” these individuals can become frustrated and disillusioned with their lives. Serious difficulties in interpersonal relationships are often the result.

Christian Embassy reaches out to these leaders to help them meet Jesus Christ and discover the relevance of God’s truth to their professional and personal lives.

Our desire is that these leaders will become true followers of Jesus and live their lives as spiritual multipliers within their families and among their peers in the spirit of Galatians 2:20.

In addition, we help to structure opportunities for them to share their testimonies from their natural platforms to large audiences at home and abroad.

We are ready. We are limited only by the size of our team and the financial resources available to us.

Our Team

Our team is proud to serve the leaders in our nation’s capital since 1975. Together we desire to make the gospel known and help leaders grow in their relationships with Christ.
