Help someone request a flag to be flown over the Capitol?
Individuals and organizations can purchase at cost an American flag that has been flown over the United States Capitol. You can also request to have a flag flown on a special date to commemorate a special occasion. To order a flag, complete a Flag Request Form through any Member of Congress.  Prices vary depending on size and material.  Requests can be made up to three months in advance.  It takes approximately six to eight weeks to fulfill a flag order. 

Track a bill in Congress?
Use the Library of Congress’ online “THOMAS” system to get a summary and track the status of legislation on the Hill. 

Arrange for a White House tour?
Individuals can obtain same-day tickets to tour the White House at the White House Visitors Center located at 15th and E Streets, NW on a first come, first served basis.  The Visitors Center ticket desk is open only from 7:30 a.m. – Noon.  Tickets go quickly.  The tour lasts approximately 30 minutes. 

A limited number of guided congressional White House group tours for groups of 10 or more people are available by request.  Individuals must submit a request through his/her congressional members’ office up to six months in advance of their requested date.  Tours are scheduled between 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday (excluding federal holidays).  Groups are scheduled on a first come, first served basis approximately one month in advance of the requested date. All White House tours are free of charge.

Get passes to the House and Senate galleries?
The House and Senate galleries are open whenever either body is in session and also Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. when they are not in session.  Separate House and Senate gallery passes are required to enter the galleries.  Passes can be obtained through the office of any U.S. Senator or Congressman or on a first come, first served basis from the Kiosk at the Southwest corner of the Capitol grounds, next to the Botanic Gardens.

Tickets are distributed one per person, and at the current time, are for same day admission only.
